Well, I started to think about ways I can prepare for the morning THE NIGHT BEFORE and overnight oats recipes were the solution. Since I love the flavors that Fall have to offer, I wanted to offer up this delicious Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats Recipe for you to try out.

It’s really easy to make which is NUMBER ONE in my book PLUS it’s so YUMMY that your kids will be begging for seconds.

If you aren’t a fan of apple, use this recipe as a baseline and substitute with whatever you’d like. There are so many great flavor combinations you can play with.

Pumpkin spice, pear, vanilla, blueberry – I mean, just look in your refrigerator and see what you have laying around.

My family is currently on a buying FREEZE and so I am trying to use up everything I have in the pantry and my fridge. Get creative and make your own delicious design. Or… you can just use this recipe as is.

This recipe will make enough for 2 servings. If you want to make more for your entire family, be sure to double or triple up.

  • 1 cup oats (certified gluten-free oats may be used if necessary)
  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Toppings:

  • 1 small apple, diced
  • ¼ cup pecans, chopped
  • Extra cinnamon for sprinkling

How To Make Overnight Oats

Place oats in a 16 oz glass mason jar. Add the milk, maple syrup, applesauce, and cinnamon. Screw the lid on the jar and give it a shake. Place the jar in the refrigerator overnight.

When ready to eat the next day, give the jar a shake again to allow all of the ingredients to blend. Remove the lid and place chopped apples and pecans on top. Sprinkle on a little extra cinnamon if desired. Can be enjoyed cold or warm.

How Long Will These Oats Last?

These easy overnight oats may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days before consuming.
