Serve with bread. I prefer Ciabatta garlic bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. turkey chop meat
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 1 red pepper (chopped)
  • 1 green pepper (chopped)
  • 2 carrots (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 can pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 3⁄4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste (I just use the whole 6 oz can)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1-3 Tb. chili powder
  • 1⁄2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1⁄2 tsp. oregano
  • 1⁄2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Brown turkey in a pan and drain it.
  2. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  3. If it gets dry add a little water.
