Lemon Bars Recipe: So Good – You Won’t Want To Share
These lemon bars require a longer list of ingredients than I normally post – but it’s worth it. But everything is natural and odds are you own most of these things already.
You probably have them stocked away in your pantry. I mean, come on – flour, sugar, salt, vanilla. It sounds pretty basic to me! The only thing I think you will have to make an extra trip out to the store for is the lemons and maybe the eggs.

In a bowl cream together the Butter and Powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the Vanilla and stir to combine. Add the Salt and 2 ¼ Cups of Flour and mix until well combined.
Press the dough into the bottom of a 13×9 inch pan lined with lightly greased parchment paper to form crust. Bake at 350˚ until deep golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Remove and let cool 15 minutes.
In a separate bowl add the Sugar, Baking, Lemon zest, Lemon juice, Lemon extract and Eggs and beat until well combined and slightly frothy. Whisk in the remaining ¾ Cup of Flour.
Pour the Lemon and Egg mixture over the crust in the pan and return to the oven and bake until the egg mixture is set and browned, 20-25 minutes, remove and let cool.
Remove from the pan and cut into bars or squares and dust with Powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.

This is the recipe that I usually make for family gatherings and during a holiday break. I don’t consider this a seasonal find – although some people might think that this is a summer dish.
