There is this tiny little rumor that Cracker Barrel is opening up on Long Island which is my neck of the woods. I have literally written to them and BEGGED them to open up in New York because the closest restaurant is in Connecticut. I don’t mind the drive.

In fact, I usually end up hitting Cracker Barrel about once every other month if I am being honest with you. But wouldn’t it be amazing to have one just up the road?

They would make a KILLING on Long Island. We are a tiny island filled with millions of hungry, hungry hipppos. And I mean that in the most affectionate kind of way.

Anyway, let’s get back to my Copycat Cracker Barrel Hash Brown Casserole recipe. I hope you enjoy it. I hope it meets your expectations. I hope you are hungry because it will be coming out hot and ready to serve.

What To Serve With This Recipe?

I have a few recipes that I think would work great with this recipe. But honestly, HANDS DOWN, my fried chicken recipe is the one that takes the cake! And if you want to be a traditionalist, you could also pair this casserole with a sweet potato casserole.

What? Am I the only one that goes to Cracker Barrel and orders all the carbs on the menu? I’m not going to lie to you. That’s what I do when I am there.

I would also probably add my homemade applesauce to this mix because that’s also a HUGE thing I get when I visit. LOL. I just pretty much summed up my favorite dish for you.
