Easy Pizza Casserole Recipe For Friday Night – Pizza Pasta Pie
Just as an FYI, we included meat in this recipe, but feel free to omit those ingredients if you’d like to make this pizza casserole dish meatless.
I used jarred sauce for this recipe, but if you’d like to see my homemade gravy recipe – click here: it’s from 9 years ago, and it’s ugly, but it works! I usually use this when making homemade pizza bagels, too.

What Is The Most Popular Pizza Topping In The Us?
Since we are talking about it, I was a little curious and so I just had to look it up. Pepperoni is actually the most popular pizza topping.
36% of people order pepperoni on their pizzas. It’s a good thing that we’ve already included this in our pizza casserole recipe.
Tips and Variations:
- For leftovers, use an airtight container and refrigerate. You could also wrap your baking dish with aluminum foil to cover and secure the pasta bake.
- Serve the next day by heating up the leftovers in the oven – at 350 degrees – until warm. You might need a bit of extra sauce to drizzle over your pasta if you find it too dry. Be sure to have a loaf of fresh Italian bread on hand.
- This is a great dish to make ahead! Simply assemble casserole dish the night before. Cover tightly. Bake when ready to serve.
I hope your family enjoys this easy casserole dish! Out of all the dinner ideas we come up with during the year, this is a staple we turn to time and time again. Even that little picky eater will agree. It will satisfy every pizza craving without having to worry about making pizza dough.

Sounds delish...I love Rao Sauce or Mario's Marinara but most of all I love a quick sauce that I make with olive oil, garlic, a can of San Marzano tomatoes and a little bit of basil and thyme simmer 20 minutes. Depends on how much time I have to create dinner. Thanks for this recipe Vera!
