Why Wonton Noodles Instead Of Cut-Up Lasagna Noodles?

By replacing lasagna noodles and substituting them with wonton noodles you will save yourself both time and effort. You still need to boil traditional noodles in order to be able to mold them into the muffin tin shape. The no-bake options do not work with this recipe because they would just crack if you try to manipulate them.

By using wonton noodles, you omit the boiling part of prep and simply move right to the fold-in without an issue. This saves you loads of time!

Tips For Making These Lasagna Tin Cups

  • You can find wonton wrappers in the Asian aisle of most supermarkets
  • The filling for the wrappers can be made a day ahead. Feel free to save some time and plan accordingly.
  • If you want to save on calories and fat, feel free to swap the cheese to fat-free options.
  • If you have some more time, feel free to saute some onions and garlic and add an extra layer of flavor into the mix.
  • If you don’t like sausage, you could always substitute with ground beef or ground turkey.
  • Basil always gives this dish a great layer of flavor. If you have any extra on hand, feel free to add some in.

Reheating Instructions

When you are ready to reheat your leftovers, simply place them in your air fryer on 350 for about 5 minutes. That’s all they will need. Don’t have an air fryer? No problem! Throw them in the oven at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until the center is warmed.
