How To Make Easy Lasagna: Inside The Kitchen

easy lasagna

Making homemade lasagna doesn’t have to be so hard! This easy lasagna recipe makes it so simple you can have it every week!

Ricotta was on sale last week so I decided to make lasagna. I haven’t done this in AGES, but it turned out really good. Naturally, I took pictures so I can write a post about the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of oven ready lasagna (don’t judge me)
  • 1 large egg
  • 15 oz of ricotta cheese
  • 1 bag of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese (few handfuls)

Sauce — click here to see the recipe for my Bolognese sauce.  You have to cook this first before doing anything else. If you don’t have time, then consider using a jarred sauce. Here are the ones I like.

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix in medium bowl: ricotta, 3/4 of the mozzarella, egg, salt, pepper  & a handful of parmesan cheese.

Take a picture of your husband making fun of you for taking pictures of your sauce.

Pour a little of the cooked sauce on the bottom of your pan. Then line with 4 oven ready lasagna noodles.

Top with cheese mixture, then sauce mixture. Repeat until you run out of space.

Top with remaining cheese. Bake for 45 minutes with foil on and then do another 10-15 minutes with the foil OFF.

OMG. Hysterical. Love the photo of your husband. And the lasagna looks delish.

I am going to try this tomorrow for a dinner. I have always made lasagna (pre baby) but now I need a quicker way to make it.

Some people say you can just use regular lasagna noodles but don't cook them. Just cover them with sauce. I'll try the oven ready type and the regular type and see if there is a difference. I was planning to make lasagna when the weather gets colder. It's great comfort food.
