Last summer, we took a trip to Florida with friends and I noticed that Caleb wasn’t very comfortable in the pool. He always stayed close to the steps – even when he had a life jacket on. I knew it was time to give my son some swimming lessons and heard amazing things about the Goldfish Swim School. So, we signed up! We just finished up our first lesson and it was such a treat!!
One of our good friends joined in on the fun and the two boys were beyond excited to get into the water. While the parents filled out some paperwork, the kids stayed occupied in the best way possible.
Check out the changing stations! I just got back from the Caribbean – feels like this area comes straight from an island, right? In fact, that vibe continues throughout – you’ll find surfboards, palm trees and more sprinkled throughout Goldfish Swim School. I love a location with a great theme.
When it was time for our lessons, the boys jumped right on into the pool. It wasn’t a private lesson, but it sure felt like one! We went during the day and received an incredible amount of attention. The staff was upbeat, energetic and had a true love for the water. The instructor truly brought out Caleb’s love for a good splash!
In fact, I just want to point out this picture — look at how happy the instructor was for Caleb once he finally got his kicking figured out. That positivity is contagious.
Goldfish Swim School works with children aged 4 months to 12 years old. The classes are split out by age and skill. You will find the right space for your child and they will – in turn – look forward to their time in the pool. In fact, the hardest part of the day was getting Caleb OUT of his bathing suit. He just didn’t want to leave.
Ready to see what Caleb learn in 30 minutes? I just couldn’t believe it! Remember — this is a kid who was afraid of the pool!!!
And as if the lessons weren’t enough, my boy got to walk away with several different ribbons – each signifying a different accomplishment. He felt SO PROUD!!! Mama did too!

What a lovely place for swimming lessons! I think it's nice that they empower and encourage kids throughout the course. It's definitely a lot more exciting than most of the swimming lessons that I've seen or experienced before.
