Easy Thanksgiving Appetizers For Every Hostess With This Holiday Season
Butter. Sugar. Potatoes. More butter. More sugar. Yup. That pretty much sums up my family’s version of Thanksgiving. Hey! I’m not complaining, but sometimes you want to change things up a bit and offer up different taste options.
That’s why I make sure to put out a spread that appeals to everyone I invite over to break bread with me and my children, whether it’s my cousin the vegetarian, my aunt the paleo or my uncle the pizza lover.
Thanksgiving is all about spending time with loved ones. It’s about celebrating a year of togetherness and remembering what’s truly important in life. It’s about enjoying great food and laughing while you are doing it.
But as a mother, the last place I want to be is stuck in front of the oven creating complicated appetizers and side dishes. That’s why I stick to a few trusted fan favorites that I know are easy to prepare and always a hit.
I actually make this for every single party I host because I can prepare it ahead of time and store it in the fridge.
All you need to do is buy a selection of cured meats, cheeses, olives, pickles, peppers and any other ready-to-eat vegetables of your choosing. When the guests arrive, simply take the dishes out and display.
Another great option is Ristorante Pizza, a gourmet frozen pizza with a thin, crispy and perfectly crunchy crust. To prepare, simply place your favorite flavor in the oven at 425 °F and heat until the crust is golden and crispy and the cheese is melted (about 10 – 12 minutes).
These pizzas come in nine uniquely flavored varieties, so there’s something for every palate. I recently treated myself to the Pepperoni Pesto (in one word: YUM), but here’s a peek at the other options:
Cut Ristorante into bite-size squares or slices for the perfect Thanksgiving appetizer. I’d suggest heating up three different versions because these are going to go FAST. Everyone loves pizza!

Chips And Dip
Here’s another easy spread that offers maximum flavor with minimum effort. You can either pre-make these dips or purchase your favorites from the grocery store.
Set up is easy: just place several varieties in bowls and surround with chips. My personal favorites? Peach salsa, spinach and artichoke dip, and of course guacamole!
If you at least have these three options available for guests, you can ensure everyone will be noshing and happily fed. By all means, work your magic and wow the crowd with homemade family specials, but don’t feel like you have to offer up EVERY DISH with blood, sweat, and tears.
Do you have any “knock them out the park” no-fuss appetizers that you serve during Thanksgiving festivities? I would love to hear what your family loves to eat together during the holiday season.
