This Hershey Brownies recipe includes Hershey’s syrup with a strawberry topping making it indulgent and chewy to the bite. Serve it warm and make sure you have enough for seconds.

Since I started having a little fun with Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup, from ice cream sundaes to chocolate milk, I’ve perfected the recipe to one of my all-time favorite desserts: brownies. This recipe is so easy, it doesn’t even feel like I had to put enough effort into it to say it’s made from scratch!

I like to make this brownie into a pie style with slices, but it can be made in a traditional square pan too. Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup and Hershey’s Strawberry Syrup are totally my secret key ingredients for this recipe, as they deliver a moist and yummy brownie every single time!

I love that you can add Hershey’s Syrup to so many of your favorite recipes and make them that much better! I was browsing http://www.celebratewithhersheys.com/ and simply got lost in the ideas I found online.

From pies, to cookies, to tarts, to s’mores to DRINKS… that site has it all!! The kids and I made a list of fun creations that we all want to make this year… and it’s all going to start with THIS. But back to my recipe — are you ready for some delicious action?

Hershey Brownies Recipe: Hershey’s Syrup Chewy Fudgy Brownie ‘Pie’ With Strawberry Topping

Hershey Brownies Ingredients:

  • 8 tbsp (1 stick) of softened unsalted butter
  • 1 ¼ cup of sugar
  • ¾ cup of Hershey’s Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ tsp of Kosher salt
  • ¼ of vanilla extract
  • 2 large cold eggs
  • ½ cup of flour
  • ¼ cup of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 3/4 cup of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup
  • ¼ cup of Hershey’s Strawberry Syrup
  • 1 cup of chopped fresh strawberries
  • Sprinkle of confectionary sugar
  • Greased pie pan

Here’s What To Do:

Set the oven at 325 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter (I like to slice it first for easier mixing), sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.

Once all the dry ingredients have mixed well with the butter, add in vanilla, eggs, and flour. If you have ever made brownies out of the box, you might find that the mixture is a little easier to stir because it calls for vegetable oil and water.

Since we already have butter in the batter, and we want to create a ‘from scratch’ recipe that is even more delicious, we’re going to bypass the unnecessary oil and water and go for the good stuff we would all rather be eating anyway: HERSHEY’S Chocolate Syrup.

Gradually pour in ½ cup of the chocolate syrup into mixture, stirring throughout, to get a rich, moist brownie batter. Add more or less, until you get a consistency that feels just right.

Then, pour in a ¼ cup of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Chips, and stir into mixture until evenly distributed. Now you are ready to pour the batter into the greased pie pan, and place in the middle rack of oven, left to bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 35 minutes (it might need five or so minutes longer- I prefer to bake it a little longer at a lower heat- I just find it comes out chewier and moister this way!).

Use a toothpick at the center of the brownie pie to determine if it’s ready. You’ll want the toothpick to come out mostly clean, but it’s okay if there are a little remnants of brownie fudge- you’ll want it that way when it comes time for eating!

After taking it out of the oven, this warm brownie deliciousness is almost ready to be enjoyed. For a clean slice, place the brownie pie in the freezer for 15-20 minutes, so it won’t fall apart when you go to cut a piece.

That said, warm, gooey brownies are just happiness on a plate, so you really can’t go wrong if you just dive in.

To top off this moist and magnificent brownie pie, throw on chopped strawberries over brownie pie, and squeeze desired amount of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup and Hershey’s Strawberry Syrup on top.

Sprinkle a little confectionary sugar over it, and voila! You have a delicious chewy fudgy brownie pie with strawberry topping to enjoy! For more ideas on how you can have fun with Hershey’s in the kitchen, visit: http://www.celebratewithhersheys.com/
