  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in egg and olive oil until well blended.
  3. Place dough by spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Press each piece of dough flat with a fork.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack before using as breadcrumbs.

Tips And Variations

If you don’t have a food processor, you can finely chop the almonds by hand. Just be sure to chop them very fine so they will blend well with the other ingredients.

You can substitute any kind of nut flour for the almond flour, such as hazelnut or pecan flour. When using a different type of nut flour, you may need to add a little more liquid to get the dough to bind together. Start with 1 tablespoon and add more if needed.

If you don’t have baking soda, you can use 1 teaspoon of baking powder instead.

Keto breadcrumbs can be used in any recipe that calls for breadcrumbs. They are especially good in recipes where the breadcrumbs are going to be visible, such as on top of a casserole or baked pasta dish.

Store leftover keto breadcrumbs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
