One of my goals for 2016 is to work out more. I know it’s super cliched but a girl’s gotta try! A year ago, I gave birth to my little one and, in typical mom bod fashion, my middle section hasn’t recovered. After moving to the beach in the summer, I was determined to go running on the boardwalk more. That totally did not happen hence my renewed commitment for the beginning of 2016. I didn’t even know Marshalls offered fitness apparel until I did this review. I should have known, though. They’re the mecca of discount designer fashion and activewear is having a real moment. I snagged myself a great olive green top and a black and white printed pair of workout pants from Marshalls in San Diego and took the plunge.
I was specifically looking for cold weather workout gear. It’s frigid in New York and I hate running with tons of layers on. When you start working up a sweat, all you want to do is strip off layers. I chose the olive long sleeved top because of its fleece lining. I wore a long sleeved top under it to work out and slipped on a jacket for good measure. As it turned out, I didn’t need the jacket. The top was good enough to keep me warm. I chose the black printed workout pants because of the print. I wanted a bit of personality to my look. I love that these pants go right down to the ankle. That means I can tuck my socks over them and no cold air gets in. They were also super comfy.
The best part? My outfit was less than $50!
