Slice up 1/2 stick of butter and place the pieces all around the top of your egg noodles. Make sure that you try to spread the pieces around. Salt and pepper.

Close your lid, set your pressure cooker to HIGH, and cook for ONE minute. Allow the pressure to naturally release once done.

Open the lid and drizzle your olive oil right on top. Take a spoon to mix. Serve immediately.

This recipe is only for egg noodles, not regular pasta. Settings would be different for anything other than egg noodles.

Can I Use Margarine Instead Of Butter?

For this recipe, it is important to use butter instead of margarine. You will find the butter flavors and sticks to the pasta better than margarine.

Margarine has a lot of oil and can create a mushy texture when it comes to egg noodles.

How Do You Make Butter Noodles Better

  • Reach for stock or broth over water. It adds a bit more flavor to the noodles.
  • In my house, we call these garlic butter noodles because I add in lots and lots of garlic. I like to use dehydrated garlic when it comes to this dish because I just toss it in like I would onion powder. This is the brand that I use and I LOVE IT.
  • If you have other spices that you’d like to add, feel free! The more flavor, the better.
  • Serve warm and immediately.

Storing Leftovers

To store leftover noodles make sure to use an airtight container. These noodles will soak up the butter that is left in your pressure cooker. When reheating, you might want to add an additional layer to provide more dimension to the reheat.

Does This Work With Homemade Noodles?

This hot buttered noodles recipe works best with store-bought egg noodles. Homemade noodles in the pressure cooker don’t work out.

The pressure cooker breaks down fresh pasta too much – to the point that it ends up falling apart and becoming too soft. Remember, dry noodles are best when it comes to pressure cooking.

What To Serve with Noodles

  • Chicken Meatloaf | A fun twist to a classic meatloaf. The chicken adds tons of flavor while still being mild in flavor. Whip this up to go with your noodles.
  • Butterflied Roast Chicken | Here is a roast chicken that is loaded with flavor. Tender juicy chicken that is loaded with flavor in every bite.
  • Baked Lamb | If you enjoy lamb, here is a simple but delicious way to cook it up. This is great for serving guests or feeding your family.

Cooking noodles in the pressure cooker is my new favorite way to make them!
