Have you ever seen smoky eyes done in color and wondered how to get the exact colors in the range from light to dark and a few in between? Or maybe you love how it looks but want to try a more subtle version of it. Your local drugstore probably carries tons of dual eye shadows and you maybe have to pick up a few to get the options for a strong smoky eye plus a subtle smoky eye. Here’s one drugstore brand that provides six, yes, six shades of the same color in the same palette. Milani ‘s Runway Eyes Fashion Shadow does this in a range of colors. I tried the blue since deep blues go well with my darker skin tone.
For an everyday look with a bit of dimension, I tried the lightest shade of blue starting from the inner corner and blending towards the middle. I then used the third shade and applied it, starting from the outer corner. I then blended in the middle. These blues were different enough to give my eyes depth. If you’re looking for a stronger eye, just go down two more shades to the deepest blue and use that in the outer corners of the eye. The great thing about this eye shadow is that the colors are bolder and richer as they get darker. For an even stronger look, try applying wet.
Strong eyes have been a major trend in makeup for the last few years and it doesn’t seen to be going anywhere. At just $8.49, its like you’re buying 6 eye shadow colors for the price of one. You can get yours at your local CVS, Walgreens, Target or K-Mart.
