Need Help Combining Eye Shadow Color? Turn To L’Oreal For An Easy Solution

During the Makeup Show a few weeks ago, L’Oreal gave out samples of some of their latest products to the makeup community and I decided to give a few a try.

Their HIP line is full of creamy eye shadows that are heavily pigmented. They come in pairs so it takes the guesswork out of figuring out the deeper shades for each color. I tried out the Metallic Shadow Duo in Gilded (806). Now, if you have a tan or have a complexion similar to that, you’ll love how this looks on your skin. I applied the gold to the inner corners of my eyes and blended in the dark olive green at the outer corners, going a bit past my lash line. The consistency of the shadow is great because it spreads easily but there’s no need to pile on too many layers. This lasted all day and didn’t smudge or disappear. I also tried the same in Platinum (906), which I loved for a night-time smoky eye. If you’re looking for a shadow to add to a sun-kissed daytime look, go for the Gilded shades.

L’Oreal’s Color Presso in Chic (280) was also a hit with me. Again, I love that they did a duo. You can choose to wear one shade or layer the both for a fun, new color. This shade is the perfect pink with undertones of yellow, so it doesn’t look pasty. Its a gloss, so its not as heavy as a lipstick and perfect for the summer time.

Both of these are below $10 and available everywhere L’Oreal is sold.
