Personally, I suffer from a wide variety of skin issues – including rosacea. When it comes to my face, I always have to make sure that I choose natural scrub masks that are both calming and soothing.

Oatmeal can both soften and moisturize your skin. When you combine it with honey, you will be ahead of the game. That’s why this oatmeal honey scrub is such a treat.

There are so many other benefits to using oatmeal as part of your beauty routine. Have you ever taken an oatmeal bath before? You should! Calming and relaxing on the skin, body, and soul.

How To Create Your Oatmeal Scrub Made With Honey

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of instant oatmeal (cook as directed and let cool)
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • a small bowl of honey

Directions:

Cook your instant oatmeal according to the package’s instructions. You can use either milk or water. That’s entirely up to your preference. Allow to cool completely before applying to skin. Before application, be sure to mix in 1 teaspoon of honey.

While you are waiting, take a small bowl of honey and apply a thin layer to your clean face. Now, apply your oatmeal mask – a fine layer.

How To Make A DIY SUGAR SCRUB – Best Exfoliating Scrub

I suggest you do this at least once a week. While we already talked about a honey face scrub, I think a sugar scrub is just as effective – if not more! Oatmeal masks are calming and sugar scrubs are disruptive. If you have rosacea, do not put this on your face. In fact, anything this rough should be left to the rest of the body.

You can add any type of essential oils that you’d like to give it a relaxing vibe. That is up to you. I happened to have Eucalyptus on hand and so, that’s what I used.

Sugar body scrub can be made in batches – so if you’d like, consider creating large volumes of this and giving it out for the holidays! What a wonderful gift idea! This sugar scrub recipe can be changed slightly depending on your mood. Want lavender? Use that instead!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 5-7 drops of essential oil (I used Eucalyptus)
