I got the idea from Quakeroats.com by the way!! They have an entire section on their site dedicated to easy recipes just like this one that all keep mom in mind. LOVE IT! I spent quite some time looking through what to cook next. Simple but delicious – right up my alley.

How To Make Frozen Cereal Yogurt Bars

crush life cereal

Take a cup of your Life Cereal mixture and crush it. Spread over the base of your dish. I had my eldest son do the smashing in a plastic bag. He was very happy.

Then add in your yogurt layer.

Top with remaining whole Life Cereal pieces. I used Life Cinnamon because I wanted to lean on Fall flavors, but you can opt for Original or Chocolate flavors if you’d like. That’s entirely up to you. Press pieces down to ensure they combine with the yogurt layer.

All you have to do at this point is to allow your frozen dessert to freeze! Place in freezer and allow to cool for an hour. Cut into 6 bars and serve immediately.

Variations

Think about what you’d like to add to your yogurt bars. It could be anything you’d like!

  • nuts
  • fruit
  • granola
  • coconut

You can chop up bananas, apples, berries – whatever you have on hand, and be sure to make your dessert idea a blast!  This is where we usually let the children do a bit of personalization.
