Tips And Variations For The No Bake Cherry Cheesecake Dessert

  • If you don’t want to use store bought cherry pie filling, you could absolutely make a homemade version. I just find a can of cherry pie filling is a lot quicker and this is a recipe I make in a pinch. Homemade cherry pie filling is an entirely different ballgame.
  • Make sure you have a side of Cool Whip or whipped cream on hand.
  • It’s easier if you work with softened cream cheese from the start. Bring your ingredients down to room temperature before using.
  • We like to also have a bowl of sweet cherries on hand for dipping.
  • This classic crowd-pleaser is a no bake cheesecake dessert that will be remembered! Make sure you have recipe cards on hand to pass along to friends.
  • You can swap in fat-free cream cheese, but it will change the flavor profile of this classic dessert.
  • Consider adding a dash of vanilla extract to your cherry filling.
  • If you made this cherry dip ahead of time and are pulling it out of the refrigerator, let it sit a bit before serving. Otherwise, it will be too hard.
  • To store leftovers, use an airtight container.

Can I Use Different Pie Fillings?

Absolutely! You don’t have to commit to making this cherry cheesecake dip… cherry. You could simply swipe out the canned version of fruit pie filling for your favorite option (including apple or blueberry). This easy recipe is filled with simple ingredients. Choose accordingly.

Easy To Make And Fun To Serve

You won’t spend much time working on this great recipe. Just spoon cherry pie filling over the cream cheese filling and enjoy! A traditional cheesecake will take you much longer. Naturally, having a buttery graham cracker crust adds more flavor because of the added melted butter. But this is a great alternative without a bottom layer. It’s the perfect way to enjoy your favorite flavor minus the effort.
