You Must Watch Disneyland Handcrafted on Disney+

Leslie Iwerks, granddaughter of Mickey Mouse’s co-creator, took 50 hours of raw material showcasing Disneyland in its earliest days and turned it into a documentary you truly have to see.

I was invited to visit Disney’s downtown offices to attend a screening of the new documentary and BAWLED my eyes out watching Disneyland Handcrafted. I’m talking about SNOT running down my face.

No completed plans. No real safety measures. People eyeballing most of the work. And what did it turn into? Magic. Generationally shared tangible magic. All because they allowed a guy to dream, and that guy didn’t believe in boundaries.

If you love Disney, you have to watch this. If you are an entrepreneur, you have to watch this. If you are a manifester, you have to watch this. Available on Disney+ today.

I cannot wait to go back to Disney and look at all the small details I take for granted. From now on, I will ALWAYS think of the people who built Main Street whenever I walk through it.

I’ve been lucky enough to have visited Disneyland three times.

I visited with my husband with Adventures by Disney, and we toured before hours and learned so much about the inner workings of the park.

I was invited by Disney to attend the 50th Diamond Anniversary. This one was such a treat!

But my FAVORITE visit was when I was invited to attend Miley Cyrus’ Sweet 16 birthday party! I brought my little cousin with me, and we spent a few days enjoying LA and the parks. THEN we enjoyed the pop star’s birthday party after hours when the entire park closed down for a few hours, and we had SO MUCH FUN!

So, I have so much affection for Disneyland, but I NEED TO GO BACK because after seeing the documentary, I know I have to go back and look at all the small details. Every time I went, it was always so grand. I want to go and take my time. Walk slowly. Look at the buildings and their brickwork. I NEED to do this.
