CVS Says Goodbye To Printed Receipts And Turns To Digital #ReceiptYouLater #CVS @CVS_Extra

If you follow me on YouTube, you know that I am a CVS LOVER. I have been saving money for almost a decade and am very familiar with those long CVS receipts that the company is infamously known for. Truth be told, I wasn’t opposed to the long receipts. In fact, I thought they were fun and exciting. How many coupons could print out at once when I swiped my card at the kiosk? It was like Christmas every Sunday!

The good news is, customers will still reap the rewards of all those coupons!! They just won’t have to worry about keeping track of all that paper. Every member of the ExtraCare Program can either opt to receive digital receipts or choose to continue to have paper. The new option for digital receipts will roll out in early June and eventually be available in 7,900 retail locations.

Once a customer opts out of printed receipts, they will automatically start to receive digital receipts and coupons. BOOM! Done! I love it.

How To Start Receiving Digital Receipts:

To take advantage of digital receipts, customers must complete a simple, one-time opt-in process in store that includes enrolling in the ExtraCare Rewards program if they are not already a member. They must also provide a valid email address. Customers can do so at the front register by asking a store associate.

How To Redeem Digital Coupons:

Digital coupons can be redeemed by using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

What If I Want Paper Receipts Again?!

Customers can also request a paper copy of a receipt at the time of purchase even if they’ve opted out. Don’t worry! Nothing is permanent. Take a breath. You can have it both ways at CVS.

Ready to become an ExtraCare Member? Please visit CVS.com/extracare. To download the free CVS Pharmacy app, visit CVS.com/mobile or search “CVS Pharmacy” in the Apple iTunes store or in Google Play.

Remember, ExtraBucks Rewards and special offers are also available through the CVS Pharmacy app, making it easy for interested customers to go paperless, without having to worry about losing or forgetting paper rewards and coupons, or missing out on opportunities to save.

*I’ve partnered up with CVS to talk about their new paperless receipt push. All opinions are my own.

I am so glad. I hate receipts. I can never find them. I want these kinds of things on my phone. Great job CVS!

Digital receipts are a great idea. I hope more stores start offering this.

Now that's the kind of company I would LOVE to work for, one that encourages you to bring your DOG with you to the office! In fact, I once owned a publishing company and I stipulated in the office lease contract that all employees (including me) would be able to bring our dogs to the office every day. Needless to say, everyone was happy: the dogs + the humans.

CVS has been our pharmacy for years now. Never tried the digital receipts yet though. Going to check that out.
