I can’t believe I’ve been here for 4 days and haven’t had a chance to update you on this trip. I’m in China, people!! CHINA. Never thought in a million years that I would say that sentence – truly! It’s been a world wind of a trip and I have SO MUCH TO SHOW YOU, but for now I wanted to give a quick sense of what’s going on.
Mandarin Journeys is completely in charge. They have created an amazing itinerary and I am just following along. I mean – that’s what you have to do when you visit Asia, right? I wouldn’t even know where to begin. I’m leaving it all to the experts and am so thankful to have them by my side.
So far, I’ve spent every night in Shanghai and am now about to head out to Suzhou. Yesterday, we did a day trip to Hangzhou and the Longjaing plantation. You know I am a tea lover, right? Well, Longjaing offered the group an opportunity to enjoy a 5 mile hike through tea fields. Again, so much to say – I’m don’t want to get into it right now! Keeping it super high level.
I’ve seen small shopping bazaars. I’ve eaten at high-end establishments and at super local eateries. I’ve toured tiny alleyways and typical tourist hot spots. I’m doing it all and will have so much to share with you when I return.
This truly is a once in a lifetime adventure.
