We love crafting in our house. It’s great for spending time together and getting the kids to be creative. All the kids (me included) get involved. While drawing and clay are wonderful, sometimes the kids just need to have something to play with, too. It’s time to meet the Qixels! The Qixels are a great new toy/craft from Moose Toys, the makers of everyone’s favorite Shopkins! Luckily for us, my best friend and her family was visiting, so we brought them in on the fun, too!!

Qixels are designed for children aged 4 years old+ and are cubes that stick together with water to craft 100s of creations. Listen to what I’m saying to you…you and the kids can create without having to use glue, tape, screws, heat, paint or really anything else that could cause problems or make a mess. This is truly all just about fun and creativity.

It’s so easy to use. First, add the tray to the base. Second, place any of the craft templates on top of the Turbo Dryer tray…this will serve as your outline and guide. Third, add Qixles to build your design. Once the design is all set and everyone is pleased with how it’s looking so far, simply spray the piece with water and give it a little press. Finally, spin the tray to dry your designs super fast. Once you spray and dry…it’s time to play. That’s it!!

The kids really had a blast and the outcomes were pretty amazing. The entire process was great…from setting it up, to selecting the template, to creating the piece, to spraying (shooting water in the house…score) and spinning dry to seeing the final result. It was not only fun, but it seemed to be very fulfilling for the kids, too.

I would highly recommend checking this out. I think you and your kids will love it as much as the Sweeneys and the McClellands did! Build yourself a Qixels World!!! Just check out the video below!
