The Riverhead Project: An Unexpected Foodie Find In Suffolk

My husband and I went to Tanger yesterday looking for a new bed. By 11AM, I was STARVING but refused to eat at the food court. You know how unhealthy those places can be. My husband told me he heard of this great restaurant called The Riverhead Project – and so off we went. It was about 10 minutes from the outlets and DOWN THE BLOCK from the Atlantis Aquarium.

I am a SUPER picky eater – so the majority of the menu was not for me. Lots of fish and other items that weren’t chicken. LOL. My husband was in his glory though. He could NOT decide what to order because everything sounded just right.  I opted for their powerlunch which consisted of an appetizer, a main course and a dessert.

Instead of bread, you get popcorn which I LOVED!!! There’s even salt and pepper to spice it up a bit. As you can see, Bill enjoyed a flight of wine. I actually liked one of them and I’m not a big drinker. Have to remember what the name was so I can share.

Bill ordered fish tacos which he devoured.

And my Korean beef tacos with Kimchi was out of control delicious. OUT OF CONTROL DELICIOUS.

I literally only tasted the bread pudding because I am being careful about my weight as of late. But that ice cream was divine.

If you live on Long Island and plan on spending some time in Riverhead, check out The Riverhead Project. It was a really nice space with great food.
