Matatalab Lite is a Remote Control Interactive Coding Robot Set for children aged 3+ that is geared towards gently teaching coding to kids. If you are in the market for a new stem toy that is fun to use and doesn’t require an iPad to operate, this is the one for you.

Robotics For Kids – Matatalab Lite
I have a 7 year old at home and am always looking for ways to introduce him to new coding toys. My 13 year old is a part of our school’s robotics team and so I understand how important it is to spark interest while they are still young!
That’s why when I was introduced to Matatalab Lite, I thought it was the perfect combination of fun and education. My son was able to command a robot around our dining room table all while using a simple-to-operate remote control.
This toy is designed for kids ages 3 and up which means there is no reading involved! The remote control is easy enough to understand -movements are designated by arrows while music has representation through notes. Bliss!
This Remote Control Interactive Coding Robot Set comprises of a responsive robot car and a wireless controller with 3 modes: (i) control mode, (ii) coding mode, and (iii) sensor mode.
Why Robotics For Kids?
There are so many options available these days for our children, but with stem toys – specifically Matatalab Lite – you will help your little develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and their own personal creativity. The best part? They won’t even know it!
Kids will also discover just how fun it is to start coding at a very beginner level. I remember when I was in college and I took my first QBASIC class. How archaic!
I eventually advanced through multiple languages ending at the beginning stages of JAVA. Even though I left this profession, the love of logic still remains.
If you want your children to have a passion for computer programming – a field that will have endless job availability in 20 years – considering opening their minds to this form of thought.
How To Incorporate Your Screen For Advanced Play
If you do want to try to incorporate more advanced sequences within Matatalab Lite, you can by incorporating their app and a tablet or another screen device.
I had my older son – the robotics fan – sit down and navigate the app with my little guy the first time through and they both had so much fun! Even though this device is made for ages 3 and up, please don’t think your older kids won’t enjoy it! A robot is a robot is a robot!
With the app, you can really dive deep into the movements and define how you want your sequence play to look and you will be able to SEE it laid out for you step by step. I just loved it.
But I do have to mention one more time – the BEAUTY of Matatalab Lite is that you really don’t need to use this functionality if you don’t want to. Yes, it is a beautiful extension but is not required to make your robot move.
Playing Music With Matatalab Lite
Included in your device box is a way to play MUSIC! You won’t need the actual robot. In fact, you will use your remote control to take advantage of this wonderful feature.
Simply switch gears, point your remote at your colorful “piano” and listen as your tool make music depending on what colored box you hover over. How fun!
Looking for expansion packs? Have some toys that you’d like to incorporate to perhaps create an obstacle course? You can absolutely do that as well. With kits like Sensor Add-on, Musician Add-on, Artist Add-on and more, continue the fun all year long.
