You don’t need many ingredients to get this homemade biscuits and gravy recipe started. In fact, I would argue that the only item from my list below that you probably don’t have on hand is cream of tartar.   

This homemade biscuits and gravy recipe can be enjoyed on its own. It is a breakfast treat… but full confession! We eat it for dinner sometimes because it is THAT hardy.

How To Make The Gravy

Cook sausage in a skillet until no longer pink. Drain grease and remove sausage from pan. Set aside.

Add flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper to skillet. Stir in 2 cups milk and whisk over medium heat until bubbly. Boil for 1 minute.
