My daughter loves to make her own DIY recipes at home. So, it makes sense that we started to tackle DIY bath salts. These DIY bath salt recipes are pretty easy to put together.
All you have to do is mix a few of your favorite essential oil scents with some herbs and add it all to Epson salt. It’s really quite lovely.
The options are quite endless. You can make a variety of DIY bath salt recipes and never run out of ideas.
If you head to your local craft store and pick up a glass jar that has a sealed lid, you could also make beautiful teacher gifts or hostess gifts for SUPER CHEAP! Something to consider. These DIY bath salts really present well.

DIY Bath Salts Recipe With Lavender And Rosemary
Yields: 2 cups
DIY Irish Bath Salts Ingredients
- 1 cup Epson salt
- 1/2 cup coarse salt (kosher or sea salt)
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 15 drops rosemary essential oil
- 10 drops lemongrass essential oil
- 5 drops rose geranium essential oil
- 5 drops lavender essential oil
- 2 Tablespoons dried rose buds
- 2 Tablespoons dried lavender buds
Directions For DIY Bath Salts
Add the Epson salt, coarse salt and baking soda to a medium mixing bowl. Whisk to combine. Add all of the essential oils and whisk again to distribute the oils.
Add the rose and lavender buds and stir well. Transfer to an airtight container and store up to six months.
How To Use DIY Bath Salts
Add 1/4 cup of Irish Spring bath salts to your warm/hot bath water. Use your hand to circulate the salts and allow the essential oils to activate with the steam. Sit back and enjoy the uplifting spring aromas of rosemary, lemongrass, rose-geranium, and lavender!
