A New Year Means A New Suit: Lands’ End 2015 Summer Swimsuits Preview

Just last week I remember running into one of my fave stores on the last day of school leading up to winter vacation to grab a gift-card for my kid’s teachers and stopped dead in my tracks, because even though most of us had last minute gifts and Christmas dinner menus on the brain, the stores were steps ahead of us and had already managed to set out displays of  trendsetting swimsuits in every color, print and style conceivable.

I’m not one for making cliche New Year resolutions like vowing to eat better, workout more and all that yaddah yaddah because I attempt to make these improvements all year round (but don’t judge me when I have the occasional ice cream binge, I have a weakness for party cake ice cream these days). Usually thinking about bathing suit seasons can make many of us cringe, but I must say, after checking out the Lands End Summer swimsuit preview, I’m dreaming of laying out on a warm sandy beach with an umbrella drink in hand and can reassuringly tell you their line has something for everyone to rock confidently!

We all know that no two bodies are built the same, and what may look hot on your girlfriend may not look as flattering on you, so I love that you can create your ideal suit with stylish separates from the Lands’ End Beach Living collection by deciding on color, print and style. With features that are shirred, cinched and flowy, you can enhance and flatter areas or hide any figure flaws while ultimately being supported and comfortable.

The Deep Sea Stripe halter dresskini top (bottom middle) is one of my favorites because it’s perfect in the water and can be paired with a bottom (which can be monogrammed and some include tummy-control lining) to be worn like a two piece as you stroll through shops or sit down to grab a bite while still looking appropriate & stylish.

While layering up, it’s great to know that their fashionable swim layers for on and off the beach also protects you from the suns rays with UPF 50 sun protection on their short and long sleeved swim (or not) tees, tankinis, leggings and coverups.

Lands’ End Coastal Spirit collection is really chic and sophisticated with great details like twisted cords and gold grommets that glam up flattering deep v necklines and textured fabric that seamlessly camouflages any imperfections and naturally makes you look slim while showing off traditional nautical stripes.

Seeing as I’m not a swimmer I’ve never really given much thought to picking out swimsuits other than if it fit me well and did I feel cute in it. If your the type who’d rather be riding waves and scuba diving instead of chatting up friends with your toes in the sand then the Aquasport collection is designed for you. You can enjoy the water without worrying because this collection is made with innovative Xtra Life Lycra spandex fiber which is resistant to chlorine, has shape retention that will get you longer wear out of your suit and UPF 50 sun protection.

Whether your sitting in your backyard pool, hitting the local beach, or traveling to exotic locations afar, Lands’ End has thought of it all by creating a line of figure flattering suits, tops and bottoms perfectly designed for every shape and your personal taste, which makes for comfort and confidence all summer long!
