Moms and Dads tend to plan the layout of their nurseries before baby arrives. But we all know that once they are here, it’s an entirely different story. Their needs aren’t necessarily what we thought they were and odds are some modifications will need to be made.
If you are in the market for a few nursery updates, I have a few tips for you to consider.
5 Easy Ways To Update Your Nursery
Get Everything Off The Floor: If you have baskets and piles on your floor (like most parents do), consider making use of your wall space in a fun and creative way. Bookcases and shelves are a great way to showcases some of your favorite finds and provide easy access to baby’s must-have reads.
Wall Decals: This is by far one of the easiest things you can do to any room. Wall decals are SUPER EASY and make a big impact. You don’t have to be creative. You just have to know how to use a sticker. SCORE! We’ve all passed Kindergarten. Even I can master this craft.
Layers And Dimension: You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a finished look in your nursery. Use what you have! Grab an ABC Flash Card deck and some string and have a little fun. This is also a really great way for you to squeeze in some extra learning time each day without it feeling like it’s a chore.
Upgrade Your Tech: Moms nowadays are SO LUCKY! There are so many unbelievable advancements in technology compared to what I used 11 + years ago. One of my newest favorite finds? The Motorola MBP33S Wireless Video Baby Monitor!! This wireless video baby monitor will enable you to keep an eye on your child and communicate with them whenever you’d like. Two-way communication! WHAT?! Worried that you won’t be able to get a clear picture in the dark? Well, don’t because the remote zoom and infrared night vision were created to help you keep an eye on things in very low light levels. No more creeping in at night and waking them up to make sure that they are soundly sleeping. LOL! Been there… many times.
Closet Organization: When I finally got around to fixing my children’s closets, it made such a huge difference. For some reason, the smaller they are… the more clothes they have. LOL! I can’t help buying anything and everything I see for my little man. The only way to store that much quantity is to have a system. Figure out what your nursery needs and either get it professionally done or do it yourself.
Have you updated your nursery lately? What changes have you made that brought you the most joy? Would love to hear your thoughts!
*I’ve teamed up Motorola to share my thoughts about nursery updates. All opinions are my own.
