I had the opportunity to attend a press preview for the new Long Island Container Store. The official grand opening is this Saturday – August 11th. The date has been ingrained in my memory for months now as I have been patiently watching the store erect from the ground up. And when I say patiently… I mean manically waiting for it to finish.

Yesterday, I joined about a dozen bloggers for a tour of the space before the doors officially opened. SO MANY THINGS I NEED TO BUY! It’s not even funny. Sadly, the registers were not opened yet – so that wasn’t an option. I’m heading there tomorrow for the grand opening… with my credit card. LOL

I typically go to the Container Store in the city. And while it’s a great space, I’ve been limited with my shopping because it’s hard to take the train home with over-sized storage bins. NOW – it’s right up the block from me. My closets aren’t going to know what hit them!

Moms will really appreciate this little tidbit of information. If you place your order online and opt for “store pick up” at check out… you don’t have to get out of your car anymore to get your goods.

You just phone the store when you are five minutes away and someone will be waiting outside for you with your purchases.

DID YOU HEAR ME? Screaming babies, sleeping babies, still in your pajamas? No need to worry!! They will bring your goods to your trunk and then you can be on your way.

Talk about a time saver!! Think about all of the projects you can accomplish… I’m shaking at the thought!

Like I said – so many things to purchase…

This is for my son for Christmas. He is a LEGO FREAK and I know he will appreciate the color coded storage bin. The best part about this – you can take each set with you. So, if you are heading to a restaurant, just grab one of the colors and know your kids will stay occupied throughout the meal.

It’s not just containers either at the Container Store (which is a joke my kids love to say). There’s closet organization, room decoration (which includes office / living room / kitchen) and more. You can literally organize every aspect of your life within these 4 walls.

My pantry is a hot mess. When I saw this – I had a little dream sequence moment where I pretended that my house actually was this orderly. LOL
