10 Week Budget Series: Save Money By Making Small And Easy Life Changes

Buckle up folks because things are going to start getting crazy! I’m talking budgets on Lady and the Blog. What? Me?! Yes. That’s right. I decided that this was the year to get my life in order and I want you on board too.

I can get a little … extreme when I start to do something. I’m an all or nothing kind of girl. So, in order to keep my head on straight I decided to just write it all down and do a major mental dump online. Everything I learn — right here for you! And not just today — this is going to be ongoing for the next 10 weeks. My deadline is the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. By the beginning of summer we will all be in a great place.

So, Where Are We Starting?!

My safe place.

My comfort zone.

The warm and gooey of a chocolate chip cookie.

Coupons.

Confession time: My name is Vera and I am coupon fanatic. If you are shopping without coupons… I don’t know what to tell you. It’s a complete WASTE of MONEY. You  might as well take a few dollars out of your wallet every week and burn them. Just do it. Light a match and GO. It’s literally the same thing. Coupons are FREE MONEY. $1.00 off equals one less dollar you have to spend. Once you start couponing though… there’s no turning back. So, before you come over to the dark side, be sure it’s somewhere you want to be.

It’s like we are in the Matrix and I am offering you a blue pill or a red pill. One of them will change your life forever. Which one will you take????

Your challenge today is to start using coupons. Coupons are available online and they are available in your Sunday newspaper. If you don’t want to commit to the paper, then don’t. It’s not mandatory. I don’t care if you print them or if you clip them. I just want you to USE THEM.

I have a ton of posts already written about this subject. I also do weekly videos on my YouTube channel that I DO NOT publish on my blog.

Here’s a great video for you to begin with — I was on bed rest when I made it. Ignore that little problem. LOL

After you watch the above coupon video, then check out the posts below.

Starter Posts:

Here’s the truth. You don’t have to go ALL IN OR NOTHING. All I’m asking is for you to start incorporating a few coupons to your grocery shopping trip a week. Just a few. Not 500 like the show because that’s just impossible to replicate. I’m talking 5 or 6 coupons. Start small. Once you start seeing how easy it is, you will begin to incorporate more coupons to your trips organically on your own. I know this because that’s exactly how it happened with me. Now I do a full blown coupon run to CVS once a week and am a P-R-O. Legit.

Like I said, there’s no turning back once you start. It PAINS me to pay full price. PAINS ME. I can’t stand it because I know that if I wait just a few more days I could probably get that same item for significantly less. A little effort goes a LONG way.

What do you think?? Going to give couponing a try?

Oh! I didn't know you had videos on YouTube that you didn't publish here! Must go stalk you there! I love your CVS ones!
