On Sunday, I had the opportunity to work the red carpet for Warner Bros. during the NY Pan Premiere. When I used to write for I’m Not Obsessed, I frequently did red carpet interviews. I forgot how stressful it all was! I mean, trying to get the actor’s attention… alongside a dozen other journalists who LITERALLY need the story because their jobs depend on it. EEK!
Thank goodness I was standing there with my best friend and business partner, Audrey McClelland. Together, we combatted the masses!
Here’s a look at the red carpet madness. JUST LISTEN TO THE PHOTOGRAPHY PIT when Hugh Jackman walks in. WOWZAHS!
Of course, we saw a few celebrities with their children walking the black carpet as well. They were eager to be among the first people to see Pan before it hits theatres this weekend. Curious to find out who attended?
Bethenny Frankel looking great in a all black. I didn’t know that she cut her hair. I LOVE it short!
Mariska Hargitay and crew. I LOVE how Hugh Jackman embraced the family with a warm hug.
Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts took the kids. I just want to say his name again – Liev Schreiber. Ok that’s all for now.
Now onto the actors of Pan!! The real reason you are reading this post.
Unfortunately, Rooney Mara flew by and I couldn’t get a good shot of her dress! BOO. She looked fab.
But FEAR NOT — I have a few EXCLUSIVE interviews for you to check out!
First up we were really lucky to get one with Levi Miller – the actor who plays Peter Pan.
We also spoke to Nonso Anozie. He plays Bishop!
And then just when we thought it was all over, Joe Wright the DIRECTOR came over for a quick chat.
Audrey and I were ready to head on in to the theatre to grab our seats and then we saw him…
Garrett Hedlund. Garrett – where have you been all my life – Hedlund. He can’t BE any handsomer, right? I mean, my word.
The End Result?
I loved Pan. As soon as I came home I told the kids that we are ALL going to see this one. It was a GREAT prequel. If you were ever curious how Peter Pan came to be – this is the movie for you. But like all beginnings, there are a lot of twists. Unfortunately, because we know the cartoon, there is a twist that I KNOW is coming and I am SO SAD to see it happen.
How did Hook and Pan meet? What was their relationship like in the very beginning? Was Hook always mean and evil? Or did something happen along the way to turn him into the man we all know?
I fell in love with a character that I didn’t expect to. I fell in love with a boy that I absolutely knew I would. The entire cast – from Hugh Jackman to Adeel Akhtar – won me over.
And the imagery! I have to talk about the imagery for a moment. The way this movie takes you from one part of the island to another… there’s no mistaking where you are! The environment was as beautiful as the story – and that’s all that you can hope for when planning a movie night with the kids.
Pan is a must see. Hands down. No questions asked. I loved every second of it and I CANNOT WAIT until the sequel.
Audrey and I had a BLAST on the BLACKbeard carpet for the Pan movie! I hope you enjoyed my photos!
And hey! We even got a selfie with Hugh Jackman (sort of).
Ok… here are a few better shots instead –>
