WeMo Crock Pot Review

I finally got my hands on the WeMo Crock Pot! And it’s fantastic! I’ve been using a crock-pot for ages. Call it cliche’ but it’s true–a slow cooker is a busy mom’s best friend. Or Dad’s. We’re not sexist here. Whoever’s cooking. The crock pot I have been using was an engagement gift. So that means I’ve had it for over 11 years. In other words, pre-smartphones. I was sent a brand-new WeMo enable crockpot to review. What’s WeMo?

“A WeMoment occurs when plans change and you need to adjust your home appliances from anywhere at any time.” You can download an app to your smart phone called WeMo and with it, be the boss of your crock-pot. And by that I mean control it remotely!

Say you set up your crock-pot in the morning, assuming you’d get home at your regular time of 6pm. But , uh-oh! Your kid’s soccer game went long. You can turn the crock-pot down or off right from your phone. iPhone OR Android. The WeMo Crock Pot works without the app as well, just in case you want to control it the good ol’ fashioned way.

I love the feature where the WeMo Crock pot tells you the time your dinner will be ready, too!

It looks great on my counter. The inner portion of the WeMo Crock Pot lifts out easily for cleaning and both it and the lid are dishwasher safe. And I love it’s size! At six quarts, it’s the largest crock-pot I’ve ever used.

If you try it and fall in love with WeMo Crock Pot techology, you can control OTHER appliances with it as well. Like your coffee maker, light switches, humidifier and heater. Don’t you feel all Judy Jetson now?

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this review. I did receive a complimentary WeMo Crock Pot to try out.
