Pork Ribs In The Slow Cooker Recipe

How do you make slow cooker ribs? You combine ribs and a can of beer in a slow cooker, set the heat on low and cook for 4.5 hours.

Traditionally, I usually make ribs on the BBQ and my recipe takes just about 20 minutes because when my three kids are hungry, we have to EAT! However, when I have more time on my hand or when I am able to prep ahead of time, I love to turn to my slow cooker because the meat just falls right off the bone when you cook it this way and it doesn’t require any attention from you.

Tips

  • If you want to add some extra flavor, consider chopping up some garlic or onions and adding them to the crockpot before starting to cook.
  • Suggested side dishes include brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, and carrots
  • Some people like to broil their ribs after coming out of the slow cooker. Personally, I eat them as soon as they are done. That’s entirely up to you.
