It’s been hot, hot, HOT the last few days and I thought that my kids deserved a little treat last night. We had some friends over and what better way to celebrate summer than with a sundae party and Hershey’s syrup. I grabbed a few delicious goodies from around the house and allowed the children to create their own Hershey’s sundaes. Oh so good!
Throw An Ice Cream Sundae Party With Hershey’s Syrup
Think about it. The classic taste of Hershey’s Chocolate in a smooth, satisfying syrup. Yes Please!!! Hershey’s Syrup is purely delicious in milk, on ice cream, or in your favorite recipes. And nothing tastes better than freedom, right? I just let the kids do whatever they wanted with my little ice cream bar set up. I let them have complete free range and control over their dessert creations and I think that’s what was the most fun. Kids are told what to do all day long. From the minute they wake up to the second they go to bed and everywhere in between. Well, when it comes to making their own desserts, I say… let them eat CAKE… I mean…. ice cream. And let them create a design of their own choosing. Glob on that Hershey’s syrup if you’d like. Pour it all over that Hershey’s ice cream. Go on! It’s ok. This isn’t a test – do you!
What To Include In An Ice Cream Fixing Bar
- Hershey’s Syrup in the following flavors: Milk Chocolate, Special Dark, Caramel, Strawberry
- York Peppermint Pattie Minis
- Hershey’s Kisses
- Hershey’s Miniatures
- Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate ice cream
- Cherries
- Sprinkles
- Whipped Cream
Like I said, the children had zero parental involvement. They chose which Hershey’s syrup they wanted to use and then topped their sundaes with their favorite edible accessories. Naturally, they picked a little bit of everything. Can you blame them? I got a kick out of watching them. It really was super sweet. Get it? Super sweet. Gosh, I’m so cheesy.
Even little Caleb got into the fun. My friend Barbara fed him some ice cream with Hershey’s syrup and he cleared his bowl until there was none left. Just like DAD. Sigh….
Actually most of it ended up on his face and shirt. HA! Again… just like dad. HA! Have you ever made an ice cream bar before? What kind of fixings did you add into the mix for your family to try out? Would love to hear.

One of our favorite summer recipes using Hershey's Syrups is the Italian Cream Sodas using HERSHEY'S Strawberry Syrup.

My favorite use for Hershey's syrup is to make double chocolate brownies and then add the syrup on the top. Yummy!
