The Art Farm Of Bridgehampton: The Perfect Summer Escape For Your Children MORE ABOUT THE FOUNDER AND THE ART FARM Mari Linnman is the pioneer and visionary behind the only green camp located on the East End of Long Island. At ‘The Art Farm’ in The Hamptons, Mari adheres to the “whole child” philosophy – connecting children with animals, providing an enjoyment of healthy food, and an introduction to ecological practices, all while teaching independence and responsibility. Growing up in Sweden, Mari spent every summer on her family’s farm. She remembers those days as some of her happiest times, so she founded The Art Farm in 1995 with a box of crayons and paper, a horse farm, sheep, ducks, a barn … and three little campers. The Art Farms are eco-friendly. As it’s philosophy continues to evolve, they are expanding their environmental programs, including an art center that utilizes recycled materials. The children are taught to be environmentally conscious by creating programs where children can learn to better care for our planet as well as educating them about recycling. This year they are celebrating our 10th year anniversary!
