Love Lane Kitchen: Local Ingredients With A Lot Of Heart

Love Lane Kitchen was one restaurant that wasn’t used to having their customers take lots and lots of pictures. I actually felt a little embarrassed about the whole thing… but it didn’t stop me. LOL!

While driving to Orient Point, my family and I stopped at Love Lane Kitchen. The street is quaint and picturesque – it even includes a large heart for the street sign. After all, what else can you expect for a road named “Love Lane”.

Love Lane Kitchen Specials

The lunch menu was one page long, but as you can see, there were a ton of specials listed on the restaurant’s chalkboard. Bill opted for the lobster roll while the kids and I choose french toast (not stuffed).

Greenport Harbor Beer

If you are a beer lover, Love Lane Kitchen housed several beers on tap all with a local focus. Three specifically were brewed at Long Island breweries including Greenport Brewing Company, Great South Bay Brewery and Blue Point Brewery. You know my husband was all over THAT.

Kids split a french toast order which also came with a small side of fruit. I ate the whole darn thing. YUM!

North Fork Love Lane Kitchen

And my husband scarfed an overstuffed lobster roll with GARLIC french fries. Those fries alone are worth the trip. SO SO SO SO GOOD. I will certainly try to replicate those flavors at home.

inside seating at Love Lane

Love Lane Kitchen is not large – I would say you can comfortably sit around 40 people, but that just lends to the small town / home cooked feel. Really great place.

Once we were done chowing down, we headed next door to their market where we picked up freshly ground coffee which they roast themselves.

If you plan on heading to the North Fork of Long Island, be sure to put Love Lane Kitchen on your list of must dos.
