I have to admit that I was one of those people who questioned whether or not I’d be into a remake of the original Lion King. I was SUCH a LOVER of the original. I think it is a top ten favorite for me of all time. Yeah, I said it.
But then you SEE everything that they did to the story and you WATCH as Disney takes us all on an African adventure and you simply get lost again in a different story told in another way. It almost feels like you are watching another tale with a slightly different tune. Same melody, but the notes feel somewhat unfamiliar.
That makes it all work! This is the exact reason why you need to pick up a collector’s item – like this SteelBook from Best Buy. I just love the look and feel of the piece.

I am just so excited to be watching this movie with my kids again! My little guy was so happy to sing along that he whipped out his Lion King pajama from Disney. How can you not dress up for such an occasion? LOL!
Those were the days, right? Feeling like you have to be a PART of the story in some serious way. I don’t want to blink during these moments. Savor every second if you are living during these years, mamas, because I have two tweens/tweens and it is FAST! Time will zip right by you and next thing you know it’s all about TikTok and Uber rides.
Thank goodness for Disney classics and remakes keeping us all together.
