It was Agatha All Along! And thank goodness for that because Kathryn Hahn just snagged herself a Disney Plus spin off for her Agatha Harkness character, ones that WandaVision fans have been waiting to see. If you like dark comedies, then get ready for this Marvel Studios production that promises big action and lots of fun.
Like most WandaVision fans, I instantly fell in love with Agatha thanks to her quirky personality and overbearing buoyancy. I kept telling myself that it would be fun to have a neighbor like her considering I don’t even know my neighbors’ names and I’ve lived on my block for 14 years!
When Agatha showed her true colors and turned evil, you think that it would have deterred me. Instead, I started plotting my Halloween costume and hoping some of her hex abilities would magically appear in my bloodstream. THE POWER! The pizazz!
Wait, everyone else wanted to be evil too, right? Not just me?
Anyway, Agatha will always carry a special place in my heart, and when I found out that she just landed her own Disney + spin-off, my witchy insides came alive with pure joy. Rejoice!
I want all of her – the darkness, the pain, the origin, the time when she was good, and the moment when all of that collapsed. Give it to me, Disney!

What To Know About Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness Spin Off On Disney Plus
Marvel Studios is the production company which means BIG SCENES and LOTS of action. We also know that WandaVision’s head writer Jac Schaeffer has been tapped to write and executive produce this project.
As mentioned, Kathryn Hahn has signed on to reprise her role as Agatha Harkness. I mean… this show could NOT exist without her.
It has been slated as a dark comedy – based off of her character on WandaVision. So, if you liked her vibe on that show, then you will love her spin off.
We can expect to see how the powerful witch got so many hex powers and why she is so unique. Of course, we will also see who exactly broke her and why. Odds are, like most Disney villain movies / show, they will try to make us fall in love with her and empathize with her past. Personally, I’m already on her side… but I’m a horrible person and I know I’m the minority.
There are talks about the Salem Witch Trials being part of the storyline, putting the timeline in the 1690s. I wonder if they will use the set built for Hocus Pocus 2?
Another plot point that will be addressed during this show? Where exactly was Agatha during the Infinity Saga? And why is she so drawn to Wanda Maximoff?
WandaVision won multiple Emmy’s, one of which was for the best original music and lyrics category. The song? “Agatha All Along”… sung by none other than Kathryn Hahn. This leaves Kathryn lots of room for a musical or at the very least ONE musical episode where the execs can show off her incredible voice.
This deal is greater than DIsney+. We will be seeing Agatha Harkness all across the MCU. Her character will be showing up in multiple movies over and over again.
Let this sink in – Kathryn signed a BIG contract that will place her character all across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is not just this show. I AM SO EXCITED. If I was a betting woman, I would expect her to interact in movies that focus on mythical / mind manipulation, not strength first.
Marvel Studios naturally has no further comment. We will wait. It’s ok. Marvel fans are patient.
