I’m a girl who loves a good cooking tool. Believe me, I’m always on the hunt for the latest and greatest because. Despite being SO BUSY, I still want to do right by my family and provide healthy meals that are easy to make. What? Can’t a girl have both?

The answer is YES! Introducing the De’Longhi MultiFry. It’s an innovative cooking appliance that’s both a low-oil fryer and a multi-cooker. What? A two-in-one? Yes please!! I am knee deep in the holiday season and love to host for my extended family. I use every burner I have on my stove and sometimes need an extra way to make a side dish. Well, now I can easily prepare a wide variety of my favorite healthy recipes on my countertop — and so can you!! From crispy French fries to sauces, from salmon to couscous… there are so many available recipes to choose from.

I wanted to show you a dish that is an absolute staple in my household – roasted potatoes. A few months ago, I changed my diet completely. I actually went gluten free for a few months because I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and the doctor recommended the change.  Truthfully, I couldn’t stick with it… but I did take away a HUGE LESSON. It’s important to cook with fresh and whole food whenever possible.

De’Longhi MultiFry Roasted Potatoes Recipe

What You Need:

  • 2.5 pounds Yukon Gold Potatoes (cut in 1 inch cubes)
  • 4 sprigs rosemary
  • Level 5 of peanut oil (using the measuring tool provided with the MultiFry)
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped (ok I used 4)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Directions:

  • Insert the paddle in the MultiFry bowl.
  • Add the potatoes, rosemary, oil, garlic and salt.
  • Close the lid and set the power level to position 4. Press the bottom heating element button and press the on/off button. Cook until the potatoes are tender and browned, 40-45 minutes.

It’s that simple! I mean — look at the results.

Perfectly roasted potatoes – crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. It just doesn’t get any better than that. And you don’t have to worry about checking on them as they cook inside the De’Longhi MultiFry because the machine automatically mixes the food for you! YES!!! There’s a mixing paddle inside the cooking system that keeps things moving. You can save time and not have to worry about stirring while frying, sautéing, or roasting any of your favorite recipes.

Also – I want to note that I used a TINY amount of oil to roast 2.5 pounds of potatoes. So, families can now enjoy healthier versions of their favorite recipes too! Double bonus!  And while we are talking about capacity, you can cook up to 3.7 lbs. of fresh potatoes and 3.3 lbs. of frozen for up to 8 servings of crispy fries. YOWZA.
