2012 feels like a roller coaster. You know, the ones that jolt out at 85 miles per hour. You’re going so fast that you can’t even process what’s occurring until you’re about to drop. Then you take a deep breath and you just let everything go because there’s nothing else left to do.
Yeah – that’s what it’s been like for me. In the last 6 weeks, I’ve had some really amazing things happen to me… but I’ve also had some really not so amazing things happen to me. I won’t go into the latter because I’m not that kinda girl – but I’m exhausted either way.
The one way I sort of rejuvenate is by playing dinosaurs with my kids.
Every night, the four of us crawl into our bed and act out characters, read books, play games, tell stories, make one another laugh, and hug…hard. It’s my absolute favorite part of the day. I get to nuzzle my face into Liam’s neck and take a deep breath. It’s the reminder I need that everything is as it’s supposed to be.
My husband made me dinner yesterday and it was AWESOME. We don’t have plans for Valentine’s Day because there’s a lot left to do for Strut – but honestly I don’t care about not celebrating the holiday. Our runway show is on Thursday. We can just do something fab on Saturday – like rent a movie and go to bed early. LOL! A good night’s sleep is worth my weight in GOLD. 🙂
Are you doing anything for Valentine’s Day?
