So now that you are part of this amazing Culturelle #HealthiestYouEver Community and you’re learning, growing, and getting healthier and healthier with each passing day, how do you feel? So much of what I’ve learned has been eye-opening, but really, the challenge, motivation, and encouragement of it all is really what sets this all apart from other sites.
There just seem to be so many things to learn, so many areas to improve, it can make your head spin. Through it all, maybe two of the more important health issues that we all need to focus on are heart health and building up our body’s immunity and ability to fight off disease.

This kind of thing really makes you think for a second, doesn’t it? I mean, it’s your heart…hello…I think it’s important. Maybe enough people understand how important taking care of your heart it, but maybe enough people just aren’t 100% certain how best to do so. Not too bad, right? I think we call can swing this. I know I’m trying my best this year to do this and more. Another area of focus for me has been building up my immunity. I’m so tired of feeling, well, tired from colds and who knows what else. Your body wants to fight for you, but it needs you to get it prepped and ready to rumble.
One ultra-delicious and uber healthy way to do this is to catch the smoothie craze. It’s a big thing now, and for a very good reason…it’s really good for you, and it tastes amazing, too! Seriously, when you think about a mix of taste and health properties, can you really beat a nicely made smoothie?? The best part…if you’re someone that never seems to have enough fresh fruit around the house (read: the kids eat everything in one day!), then it’s not a big deal. Just stock the freezer with frozen fruit instead of ice cream (or maybe have most of it be fruit with a teensy bit of ice cream…). The fruit is still super healthy as freezing locks in all the good stuff…fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, oh my!
I love making simple smoothies, with clean flavors. Below is my smoothie with blueberries (frozen or fresh to taste), blueberry sweetened Greek-style yogurt (6 oz.), 8 oz. of organic 2% reduced fat milk, and the juice of 1/2 a lemon (makes an amazing taste statement), plus maybe 8-10 ice cubes to thicken and cool it. Throw it all and blend it for maybe 10 seconds and there you have it! There’s so much you can do with smoothies, it’s amazing.
