So, remember when I asked for prayers a few weeks back? It’s time to start asking for action. If you live in Long Island (or close to it) and are free on February 3rd, I would love for you to PLEASE come out and participate in a blood drive that is in support of my friend’s daughter – Olivia.
Her full story is above. I don’t want to write and repeat because I don’t think I have the strength. But she needs our help. So I am asking – once again – to give up a piece of yourself. If you can donate blood next month, that would be absolutely amazing. If you live nowhere near me, then please consider supporting your local blood drive because there are plenty of children across this country who are in need of transfusions.
Olivia and her family remain in good spirits. They are so, so strong. I saw her mother last night and I had to do everything in my power to not cry as I was getting an update. I was the weak one and that did not go unnoticed.
Prayers continue to flow but we could always use a little more.
Thank you as always for being part of my life and helping when you can. This blog is many things for me and my family – but posts like these remind me what it’s all about.
