I always have fresh apples and warm spices during this time of the year. What better way to ensure I enjoy all that Fall offers than making banana apple bread?

Banana Apple Bread Recipe
If you have extra bananas in your kitchen anytime during this fall season, why not make this delicious apple banana bread? Thanks to the apple pie spice flavoring, it has a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg and is always best served the next day. Truly one of my favorite recipes to make.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas – mashed
- 1 large apple peeled and cubed
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons apple pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions
Preheat oven 350
Mash bananas in a large bowl. Add in your wet ingredients and stir. Now, add in your dry ingredients. Mix with a fork or use a handheld electric mixer on low.
Spray a loaf pan and add batter using a rubber spatula.
Cook for 65-70 min uncovered on top rack. Serve warm.
Tips And Variations:
- Store leftovers in an airtight container or wrap extra pieces in plastic wrap.
- To make sure your homemade banana bread is done, insert a toothpick down the center. Check the inserted toothpick for wetness. If your final results are not completely dry, cook for another 5 minutes.
- Cooking with apples, most people prefer to use Granny Smith apples, but use whatever you have on hand.
- I like to use brown bananas for this recipe. I always end up making banana apple bread when I see them on my counter.
- Most banana bread recipes call for 50-60 minutes, but if your oven is anything like mine… you need a little more time. Keep checking.
- Add a touch of vanilla extract for added flavor.
- Top with cinnamon sugar or maple syrup.
- Makes a great breakfast option.
- You could also add a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter and chocolate chips if you’d like. It’s fun to play with baked goods.
- If you don’t have cream cheese, you can always swap out for sour cream.
- Makes a great Christmas gift!

Classic banana bread recipes never go out of style, but mixing things up a bit is fun. The fall is a great time to make sweet treats with ground cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg, and a sweet apple or two. I could eat the whole loaf on my own.
