Project Gravitas is a stylish line of clothing that celebrates women who are strong. They celebrate the movers and shakers of this world and provide the perfect outfits for them. Designed by Lisa Sun, Project Gravitas is inspired by her first professional review. She recalls being told she needed more gravitas. I take gravitas to mean having guts, being daring, having the courage to pursue relentlessly. It means to own your moment and go after it. Project Gravitas seeks to elevate the women who have discovered their gravitas and take pride in it. I reviewed their Nelson Jacket for the Spring and loved it. I chose the navy Nelson because navy is the new black. It’s demure and sexy while having the ability to match everything. Here, I styled it three different ways.
I love forgiving dresses. I gave birth almost three months ago and am still working on getting my body back. This color-blocked dress is one of my favorite. The Nelson jacket goes perfectly with the orange and cream. I paired it with black wedge boots and leggings for comfort. This is the perfect Spring outfit because it’s work-appropriate and is super comfortable.
I dressed the jacket up a bit with thigh-high platform stiletto boots and a blue dress that is a couple shades lighter than the jacket. I liked that the dress was significantly lighter so it doesn’t look that it’s trying to be navy. This is a great look for going out for a dinner date. The Nelson jacket works well for the nightlife during the Spring because it’s looks light enough but is actually pretty warm.
I wanted to start wearing the jacket right away but it’s still a bit brisk outside. I paired it with a bulky scarf with a hood, a chambray shirt, black jeggings and my go-to black boots. This is my everyday outfit that is perfect for running around the city in. The Nelson jacket works so perfectly with chambray and it doesn’t clash with the black. I added a few colorful bangles to invite Spring into the mix.
