So much fun!! A few weeks ago, my family had the chance to design their very own Hanes t-shirts while on the Comfort Summit Disney trip. Natalie and Liam were old enough to walk through the entire process on their own which I LOVED. Take a look at Natalie’s shirt below.
Basically, you can make anything you want (as long as it is Disney friendly – in other words no curses or anything inappropriate). The Hanes Design-A-Tee store is located in Downtown Disney and is THE PERFECT Disney souvenir. Do you have a Minnie fan? Have her make a Minnie shirt (dozens of images to choose from) and then write her own caption at the end. Are you kids looking for something a bit more standard? Don’t worry! There are pre-made statements in the system as well.
So.
Easy.
I made Caleb a shirt too because it was his first trip to Disney and every single time I put him in it I smile. It REMINDS me of our time in Orlando with him. A memory that keeps giving…
So, what does it look like – the process? SUPER EASY! There are several computer kiosks set up in the Hanes Design-A-Tee store. The program walks you through all the basics. You choose your size, color, image, font, and then saying. All touch screen too!
Like I said – you could make your own statement OR you can just select one of the ones that are listed. Lots of options.
A printed ticket is released and you bring it up to the counter. You get one final look at the product, a Disney member checks it over for spelling mistakes (which I had with Liam BTW AHHH) and then puts the order in. Depending on how busy the store is determines how long it will take for the shirt to be ready. But you can always opt to have the shirt shipped to your hotel free of charge.

How can I design t-shirts for 7 people using the 7 dwarfs theme with red or blue or gray shirts? Whenever we have visited Downtown Disney Design-A-Tee they've been out of stock in most colors but white. The men's and women's colors don't match up so that all 7 of us look alike. We need 5 men's large, 1 ladies XL and 1 ladies 2XL. Every year we've made shirts here but we're running out of options. Can I order them over the phone?
