I know I’ve written several posts about the Disney Social Media Moms conference already – but I still have a few pics left to share. I am just SO BEHIND with everything. (yes, I’m about to blame it on my sweet little three month old son) DARN YOU CALEB! hahahaah
Anyway – I thought I’d post all the pics I didn’t have a chance to put up yet from the DSMM conference so you can get a sense of how great the event was. There’s also a book I still need to read and write about – we will see when I find the time for THAT TO HAPPEN. UGH. Maybe in 2016?
When we first landed, we checked into our rooms at the Contemporary Resort and headed downstairs to registration. You know the kids were excited. Natalie put those ears on around 4AM when we got in our cab to the airport, wore them during the flight to Florida and didn’t take them off until dinner that evening! 🙂
After we picked up our packets, we went straight to the Winnie the Pooh corner and checked out the new line. I got so excited over those little booties!! We also took Caleb’s FIRST Disney picture. Yes, he was sleeping. No, it doesn’t matter. 🙂 It was still a special moment.
We had some time before our first official meeting with the 700+ people who were in attendance, so off we went to Epcot! It was a great first day. Epcot has become one of my favorite parks. I really do love the relaxed atmosphere of the countries – and who can complain about all that awesome food?!
THEN it was off to the first official dinner! We heard a few speakers – including the always wonderful Leanne Jakubowski – and then broke bread with friends. No pictures because I was too busy hugging and laughing. 🙂
Friday was the actual day of the conference. It all started out with a Hanes sponsored breakfast. It isn’t about the plain white tee anymore with Hanes. Just look at all their pops of color! Love it! I actually hopped on stage for them and talked about what it feels like when I wear color since I’m one of their “Comfort Crew” members. Adore working with Hanes over the past few years. Did you read my recent post about Box Tops? I’m OBSESSED lately!!
After breakfast the sessions began. I wrote about all the wonderful offerings that the Disney brand has in store for us over the upcoming year and even gave you a sneak peek at Disney Infinity – their new interactive game that my son and I CANNOT WAIT to sink our teeth into.
Like I said earlier – I still owe you a write up on a book I received / speaker I heard. It was an AMAZING talk. I don’t want to give too much away without really diving deep into her messaging. More on this to come … (but here’s a sneak peek)
Then it was time for a little Star Wars break! OMG! HOW FUN!!!! I was DYING when the Storm Troopers came into the conference room to kick us out for a break. Isn’t that hilarious??!!! hahahahahah Forgot to show these pics to Liam. Have to do that when he returns from school.
Saturday morning it was off to see Merida’s official welcome into the Disney Royal Court. I posted a few videos from the ceremony including one of Sophia Grace and Rosie. They opened up the festivities with an original rap song. Be sure to click on the link to check it out.
The rest of the day was spent hanging out at Disney, swimming in the Contemporary pool (with Sophia Grace and Rosie for a few moments – yes, my daughter was SUPER excited) and then eventually meeting the rest of the Social Media Moms crew for one last dinner. Kids really had a ball!
On Sunday, it was Mother’s Day! We had Mother’s Day breakfast with the conference and said goodbye to all our friends.
I am so thankful that I had the chance to attend this year as it is always a treat. My children had a wonderful time and I walked away a better blogger. What more can you ask for??
