The Fashion Week Retreat

During Fashion Week, Robert Verdi hosted The Fashion Week Retreat. Many brands were represented at the Luxe Laboratory and they took the time to introduce their products to us. Here are my favorites:

Vintage Revolution Jeans

This season, my favorite style of jeans is the skinny cargo in olive green. I love that the skinny is still trendy because its such a classic style that goes with so many looks and body types. The skinny cargo has two pockets at the sides. This is a new style for Vintage Revolution. They also offer it in a light brown. Both looks are sure to be a hit when they launch. You can get Vintage Revolution jeans at Piperlime and Polyvore, to name a few.

Ginger+Liz

These gals are popping up everywhere! They set up shop at the Luxe Laboratory and gave manicures to guests. By the time I stopped by, they were booked for the rest of the day but look who managed to get his name in early? Ms. Jay Alexander, from America’s Next Top Model. What I love about this line is how tiny their nail polish bottles are. I know, weird, right? The thing is, no-one uses even half the bottle and I have quite a collection that I’m scared will go bad. With Ginger+Liz, I have hopes of actually finishing the bottle without a guilty conscience. I also love that the nail lacquer is vegan-friendly and free of toxins. The ladies who started the brand were both in attendance. Check out their fun nail colors at www.gingerandliz.com.

Visine

At first glance, I thought it was a bit weird that Visine was at a fashion event but it makes complete sense. You could be how fabulously dressed, red eyes are a dead giveaway of how tired you are. For the event they partnered with a new makeup company and did guests’ makeup. Jorge, the makeup artist, did an amazing smoky eyes on me. I was really happy with how my eyes looked. I had so much fun at the Fashion Retreat. It was awesome to take a break from the fun craziness and just relax for a few.
