Last week in NYC, Ann Taylor launched her Fall 2010 clothes and jewelry collection. In my opinion her presentation was big, bold, and absolutely beautiful. Just imagine a glamorous version of a modern day woman.

She was inspired by the idea of mixing European sophistication with timeless American style. Finely tailored silhouettes with gorgeous detail, were paired with vintage fabrics of tweeds, prints, and florals. All cast in a lovely palette of powder pales and warm earthy tones, complimenting any skin tone. The strong shoulder and nipped waist were exquisitely crafted with perfect precision and proportion of a woman’s figure, flattering any shape or size.

On the other hand her jewelry collection was bold, sparkly, definitely conversation pieces. Gorgeous heirloom necklaces as well as other styles that were made of Swarovski crystals, pearls, ribbons, chains and delicate beads – all these elements were eye catching and complemented models’ clothes, who were showing how easy it was to wear the pieces during the day as well as at night.

This Fall, Taylor’s fabrics were overall lightweight, textural and highly sophisticated in terms of color and pattern. When combined with a relaxed drapey fit and statement accessories, the result is classic yet modern and extremely versatile look. I am confident that if you invest in a few small pieces you will make a huge statement this Fall. So enjoy it and flaunt it!
