Holy smokes!! I can safely say this was one of the BEST events I’ve been to this year. I am a SUCKER for BBQ – particularly fried chicken and brisket. This weekend however, it was all about the pig. I sucked it up and chowed down until I was sick (well, almost).
The Rachael Ray Magazine was kind enough to extend an invitation to me for the Big Apple BBQ Block Party held at Madison Square Park. If I knew how much food I would be consuming, I would have wore spandex instead of something with a button. OUT OF CONTROL.
Just look at some of the dishes we had:
Yes PLEASE!!! Bill and I made sure to hit up the vendors from down south. NY was represented, but we could go to those restaurants any day of the week. Give me some Kentucky pulled pork baby!! LOL!!
(Excuse the over-excitement in my face. I was just REALLY HAPPY)
The event happens once a year and the streets were JAMMED with hungry visitors.
Once we tried practically ALL the vendors, we joined the rest of the group at Tabla for some scrumptious side dishes and desserts. THIS is how I ended my day. Like I said, best event ever!!!

I'd do anything to get my hands on this amount of free food. Makes my mouth water...I think I am going out to get some b-b-que pork chopos.
