Give me a BREAK.
You see this view? This was the view of silence. Of bliss. Of separation. Of peace. Of… you get it? I’m a family of 5 folks. I don’t know when it happened – but I’ve started to get a bit claustrophobic in small crowds. Good luck on that cruise I’m taking in November, right? LOL!
Anyway – as you KNOW, the family went on a little road trip this month and our first stop was Burlington, Vermont. We booked a few nights at the Marriott Residence Inn and I can TELL YOU that the carpets smelled BRAND NEW walking through that place. I had no idea how fabulous a Residence Inn could be!
When we opened the door to our room… the kids freaked. It was an apartment. It was actually bigger than the first apartment my husband and I lived in for the first few years of our marriage.
How could you go back to a standard room after sleeping in this? Check out this walkthrough.
So, what else did the Marriott Residence Inn in Burlington VT have to offer?
Free buffet breakfast for your entire family. I had waffles each morning – freshly made waffles in under 2 minutes. Yes please!! I need one of those waffle makers STAT. The kids opted for either cereal or fruit.
Free Internet. Don’t you love those SUPER SWANKY / HIGH PRICED hotels that make you pay for everything?! UGH that drives me nuts. Well, not at the Marriott Residence Inn. Wifi was F-R-E-E.
AND 12:00 PM check out!
And while we were there, we were able to check out places like the Ben and Jerry Factory Tour and The Vermont Teddy Bear Company Tour. What a perfect location for a family wanting to explore all that Burlington and the surrounding areas have to offer.
This road trip has changed my MIND about family travel. We all don’t have to sleep in one room and on top of one another. THERE IS ANOTHER WAY. 🙂
